What do the icons mean next to the freelancers name?
This is what the icons stand for next to the freelancers names.
This means that the freelancer is registered with AV Booker and may have their diary accessible.
This indicates that the freelancer receives SMS alerts when you request a booking with them.
This shows that the freelancer is one of your preferred freelancers.
This icon indicates a buddy of one of your preferred freelancers, these are only accessible when you have searched for availability on specific dates then filter the search to “preferred and buddies”.

How do I request a booking with a freelancer and what happens when I do?
Its easy to request a booking with any freelancers that are registered with AV booker, you can either use the search function to see which freelancers are available for the dates you require or you can just select the freelancers name and view their diary if they have made it public. Finally you can select the "Book" button next to their name. Once you have selected the dates and if the booking is pencilled or confirmed just click the request button. AV Booker will then send an e-mail to your e-mail address for your records and also send an e-mail to all of the freelancer's registered e-mail address’. If the freelancer has the SMS function enabled they will also receive an SMS of the booking request (usually within 5 seconds) and then they can either go on-line and accept or decline the booking or use their phone and reply back via SMS, either way you will receive an e-mail letting you know what their decision is.

How do I search for available freelancers?
To find freelancers for certain jobs and dates just click the  button under the AV Booker logo, this will take you to the <Freelancer Availability Search> page where you simply enter the dates you wish to book a freelancer for. Then select the skill you are after in each of the profession groups. Once you have all the dates and skills entered just click the search button and you will return to your homepage with all the available freelancers that matched your criteria waiting to be booked. You can then filter your search by particular skill, just your preferred freelancers or your preferred freelancers and their buddys. Any freelancer in red already has a booking for some or all of the days you requested but you can still contact them about your booking and see which days they are available via their diary. If you want to amend your search just click the  button again or to start again use the  button.

How do I add a preferred freelancer?
From your AV Booker homepage select the  button then enter the e-mail address of the freelancer you wish to add and click the check member button. If they are already in our database then all their details will be entered, if they are not just go ahead and enter as much or as little information about them as you wish. Once they have been added to your preferred freelancers they will receive an e-mail letting them know they are lucky enough to be one of your preferred freelancers.

How do I find new freelancers?
To find new freelancers just click the  button, this will take you to the <Freelancer Search> page where you can search for freelancers via their profession and skills as well as their location.

What does the search bookings button do?
If you have made any booking through AV Booker then click the  button to access any bookings requested. From here you enter the date range of the bookings you wish to check on and you will be able to see who you have requested a booking with and if they have accepted or declined the booking. You will also receive an e-mail of any bookings you request and any responses from the freelancers.

I got an e-mail saying I am a preferred booker, what does this mean?
If a freelancer has you as a preferred booker, it’s like you having them as a preferred freelancer, the benefit for you and them is that the freelancer can then activate the “auto accept” feature. This will mean that when you request a booking with a freelancer that has you as a preferred booker and to auto accept jobs your booking will automatically be accepted and entered into their diary.
